Dr. Lucia S. Subaldo is a member of the Teresian Association, which owns and manages Saint Pedro Poveda College. She holds a Doctorate Degree in Educational Psychology and Human Development, (cum laude) from the University of Valencia in Valencia, Spain. She has earned two Masters Degrees in Education. One in Educational Psychology and Human Development from the same university where she finished her doctorate degree, and another one in Educational Administration from the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
Dr. Subaldo spent a number of years in Latin America, where she honed herself as an educator and a research advocate. She was the Academic Director of St. Teresa School in La Paz, Bolivia for several years. She was also the Head of the Department of Research and Planning for Faculty and Staff Development of Isabel Flores of Oliva School in Lima, Peru for many years. She was a member of the faculty as a Professor for Research, and a Graduate Studies Adviser in the Antonio Ruiz de Montoya, a Jesuit University in Lima, Peru. She has dabbled as a consultant for CLUNY schools in those aforementioned years. Several of her papers on Teacher Satisfaction have been published in different educational journals, such as the Education Journal of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and the Journal of the Science of Education in Spain, among others.
Dr. Subaldo came home to the Philippines, and joined Saint Pedro Poveda College in January of 2016 as the Head of the Learning and Development (LeaD) Office. She was appointed as the College President in 2018.
