Today, our Grades 3 – 6 students and POVEDAN educators came together in a spirit of unity and devotion for our first Eucharistic celebration of the school year, the Mass of the Holy Spirit, which also marks the Feast Day of Blessed Victoria Díez.
As we gathered before the Lord, we offered this new beginning to Him, asking for the guidance of the Holy Spirit to inspire, strengthen, and lead us throughout the year. In his homily, Msgr. Gerry Santos shared a special acronym for the word POVEDA:
P for Prayer
O for Obedience
V for Valor
E for Excellence
D for Discipline
A for Admirable
Msgr. Gerry also imparted a simple yet profound guide for our daily lives—the “5 WELLs”:
Pray well
Study well
Eat well
Play well
Sleep well
May the Holy Spirit continue to bless us with wisdom and joy as we embark on this new academic year, growing together in knowledge and faith.
