On March 4, 2025, the #Povedan community united in a day of reflection and prayer as part of their annual Institutional Lenten Recollection. The solemn day began with an inspirational talk led by Rev. Msgr. Reginald Malicdem, who guided us in a profound reflection on hope—a reminder of God’s enduring presence in our lives. This was followed by the Rite of Burning Old Palms to Ashes, a sacred act symbolizing humility and renewal.
In the afternoon, the community entered into Holy Hour during the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, offering a time for silent prayer and deep reflection. The opportunity for Confession allowed members to seek reconciliation and the grace of God’s mercy.
The day culminated in the Holy Mass of Reconciliation, presided over by Rev. Fr. Guido Everaert, drawing us closer to Christ’s love and the Lenten call to prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
May this sacred season inspire us to turn our hearts to God, seek His mercy, and live out His love in our daily lives.
