Dear Parents,
Greetings! Please be informed of the school's guidelines on the suspension of classes due to typhoons and other calamities that may occur within the school year.

SUSPENSION OF CLASSES BY (PAGASA) PHILIPPINE ATMOSPHERIC GEOPHYSICAL & ASTRONOMICAL SCIENCE ADMINISTRATION (AUTOMATIC)

By virtue of Presidential Order No. 66 (prescribing rules on the automatic suspension of classes and work in government offices due to typhoons, flooding and other weather disturbances and calamities), CLASSES shall be automatically suspended, without need for any announcement from the school or the local government units (LGU), in the following situations:

  • When Typhoon Signal #1 is raised by PAGASA, only classes in the Kinder level are suspended.
  • When Typhoon Signal #2 is raised by PAGASA , classes in the Kinder, Grade School and High School levels are suspended.

SUSPENSION OF CLASSES BY THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT

  • In the absence of typhoon signal warnings from PAGASA, suspension of classes in both public and private schools may be implemented by the LGU and/or the local government head such as the Mayor.
  • In the case of cancellation of classes during the day, or for the afternoon sessions, the dismissal schedule below will be followed:

  • If classes are suspended during examination days, tests missed will be administered after the scheduled last day of the exams, i.e if exams are to last for three days and classes are suspended on Day 1, when classes resume the next day, tests for Day 2 will be administered. Tests previously scheduled for Day 1 will be administered after the Day 3 exams.
  • In the event that the suspension of classes is announced before 7:40 a.m., the students who are in school should be fetched immediately.
  • The procedure for dismissal during regular days will still be followed e.e., assigned exit gates, use of fetcher's card, permanent exit passes, etc.

PARENTS' RESPONSIBILITY

  • The Department of Education calls on all parents to practice their discretion on determining whether their children should go to school during typhoons, floods and other calamities, even in the absence of an announcement for cancellation or suspension of classes.

RESUMPTION OF CLASSES

Classes will resume the following day unless announced by the local government units or by the school authorities.
