Last December 17, 2014, the Grade 1 students showcased their talents in singing, dancing and choral recitation in a show entitled "A Journey through a Story." This presentation was an avenue to integrate stories read in class during the English Week:
St. Maria Goretti - My River;
St. Agnes - Owen and Mzee: A Day Together;
St. Agatha - Story of Creation;
St. Therese - We're Going on a Bear Hunt; and
St. Genevieve - Bakawan.
These stories were used to create a plot that revolved around man's role in preserving God's creation. It started with the story on how God created a beautiful world with abundant resources. Soon after, man's greed and selfishness prevailed and destroyed Mother Earth. Seeing the effects of what he has done, man came to the realization that he needs the earth and the earth needs him. Thus, he began restoring his friendship with nature and everything else became beautiful again.
